Thomas Sherwood

  Noted events in his life were:

• Emigration: to Boston on the "Frances", Apr 1634, England. He was accompanied by his wife Alice and 4 younger children. His four other daughters by Alice apparently died in England or were left there as young adults, perhaps married by then.

• Land: with the first settlers, 1635, Wethersfield, Hartford, CT. His property apparently adjoined that of Thomas Morehouse.

• Property: property that he sold to George Wyllys, Mar 25, 1640, Wethersfield, Hartford, CT. Afterwards he removed to Stamford with Thomas Morehouse and other settlers.

• Land: which he sold to John Holly, 1648, Stamford, CT. The family then moved to Fairfield with others, including Thomas Morehouse.

• Residence: and settled, 1648, Fairfield, Fairfield, CT.

• Will, Jul 21, 1655, Fairfield, Fairfield, CT. Proven on 10 Oct 1655 and mentioning names of all 8 of his children by Alice, his second wife Mary, and all 6 of their children.

Thomas married Alice Seabrook in England. (Alice Seabrook was born about 1586 in England and died in CT.)

Thomas also married Mary Fitch after 1625. (Mary Fitch died in 1694.)
