• Military Service: as a Sergeant in the militia, during the Revolutionary War, NY.

• Residence, Abt 1780, Pawling, Dutchess, NY. His home in Pawling was at one time General Washington's headquarters.

• Occupation: manager of the "Morehouse Tavern", Abt 1782, Pawling, Dutchess, NY. He succeeded his father's management of the family tavern and remained in Pawling until about 1800.

• Moved, Abt 1800, Greenbush, Rensselaer, NY. Stayed about 4 years before moving to and settling in Spencertown, NY.

• Residence, 1804, Spencertown, Columbia, NY. He purchased a farm from James Savage, built a house, and remained there until his death.
